DAYTON, OHIO FLAG REDESIGN
As Dayton continues its reinvention and renewal, local leaders are seeking a new flag to represent a changing city and a community looking to the future. Dayton’s current flag, in use since 1958, flies at City Hall, Dayton International Airport, and dozens of other highly visible locations. But it's stark background and dated imagery render it unremarkable in the age of lively urban design, digital communication, and community diversity.
OBJECTIVE
Create and redesign the city of Dayton, Ohio's flag, incorporating three elements (flight, gems, river). Only two colors, green and blue (Pantone 146-8, Pantone 115-16) and white should be used.
